About me

What is Real Advice from a Real Mum?
My Story

I am married to Neil and mum to 2 gorgeous boys, who keep me on my toes. I’ve always had an interest in the body and wellbeing and spent many years as a competitive swimmer.

I trained as a physiotherapist with special interests including Women’s Health, pregnancy and the postnatal period. After having my first son, I found that many of my friends came to me for advice with questions during their pregnancy and once their children were born.

I currently work at Barnet Hospital as an inpatient physiotherapist and am familiar with the hospital and its day-to-day running.

I became passionate about antenatal and postnatal education and after the birth of my second son, I embarked on my course to become a fully qualified antenatal educator recognised by the Federation of Antenatal Educators (FEDANT).

What Am I Doing and Why?

My ethos is that you will leave the course with a full and balanced experience including the truths about giving birth and the impact a baby can have on a relationship. You will also have the understanding and tools to manage the highs and lows of having a baby!

I understand that pregnancy, birth and parenting is different for each person and I provide objective information without judgement to empower and give you confidence to make informed decisions that are right for you.

I am able to provide a unique insight and objective advice for parents-to-be, in a friendly, approachable format.

Real advice from a real mum.

I set up You Bump and Baby to provide a unique antenatal course and to provide a real experience backed up by evidence and up-to-date information.

I have designed my course to blend my 13 years of experience as a physiotherapist, being mum of 2 boys and my specialist ante and post natal training to provide the most comprehensive course to inspire and prepare you on this exciting journey.

As a physiotherapist, I have specialist knowledge of the impact of pregnancy on the body and can provide advice and exercises on how to reduce stresses and strains. As a mum, I've brought a little person into the world twice before and can relate to the realities of it!
